Aquis House - Kinetic Façade

Class A commercial office space comes to Reading.

Working closely with Stanley Bragg Architects NES has recently completed the design manufacture and installation of the Glass Façade, Mirror Polished Stainless Steel Soffit, Flashing, Brushed Stainless Steel Column, Main Signs, LED Light Wall and Illuminated desk.

The “kinetic façade” has a frosted geodesic pattern on the internal face of the 2.85m high frameless glass. This has a subtle but dynamic effect in different lights and from different viewpoints.

The building logo appears to float above the glass due to the void behind the glass.

In the evening the impressive LED Light Wall shines through the ground floor glazing with a clean white LED Illumination of low iron glass with arctic snow interlayered diffuser.
Also a LED linear strip is seamlessly integrated into the mirror polished stainless steel flashing round the glass. This acts as a subtle Keyline of feature illumination for the façade.

The project team included:

Stanley Bragg - Architect
Scott Osbourne - Lead Contractor
USS - Client
GVA - Commercial Property Management Consultancy
DTZ - Commercial Property Management Consultancy
