20 Finsbury Circus
A classic 1920’s retained facade building based near Liverpool Street Station, is undergoing a full shell & core and on floor CAT A refurbishment with supplementary retail at ground floor. The goal is to create modern, open plan offices over the buildings six storeys.NES provided the design, manuifacture and installation of a 4 meter brass LED Light Wall. The face of the brass has an antique patina. This has specifically been selected for its motted patina. Onto this a clear matt lacquer has been added. This is to provide long term protection of the patina from cleaning and finger prints. There has been testing of the maintenance from scratches and graffitti to the lacquer. Behind the face metalwork NES fabricated tension fabric LED Light Boxes within a 65mm void. These has an innovative system whereby the 'Matrix LED lIght Panels" can be changed from behind the wall, without removal of the brass. The whole strucuture is freestanding bolted to the floor and ceiling concrete plinths.
The redevelopment of the 1980’s building is set to update and modernise the interior, creating a desirable space and a strong future commercial commodity for its owners.
