Fixing Systems

NES Architectural offer; Secret Fix Rainscreen, Secret Fix Hook Pin Rainscreen, Through Face Fix Cassette Rainscreen, Pressed Plank Cladding and Bespoke Rainscreen systems. Our innovative rainscreen systems provide innovative jointing techniques that may be installed either by horizontal or portrait alignment, allowing for dynamic loading and thermal expansion stresses. Tongue And Groove Cladding systems remove the costs of a hanging bracket while maintaining an invisible fix method. The capability for thermal expansion is achieved by sloting the top edge of the cladding panel and manually fixing the base. The typical height of a tounge and groove system is 145-325mm. The material thickness is approximately 0.7mm for steel and 0.9mm for aluminium. Due to the continious horizontal top hat section behind the grooved cladding planks the width can be up to 8m In House 3D CAD design is fundamental to offering rapid and exacting detailing on all of our systems. Capability

Our 90,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility provides specifiers and architects with solutions utilising curved, linear, shaped forms in flat or profiles sheet. All panels are complete and ready for site installation. NES Architecturals’ design team offer a free design consultancy on the appropriate fixing system, material and finish for the job. Beyond this general arrangement drawings and development prototypes are frequently called on for demanding and unique designs. We have unique facilities including the UK’s longest CNC metal guillotine and press brake (both 8m). The Elumatic suite of machines includes double mitring cross saws, an 8m CNC extrusion line and a mortising machine. Our MIG and TIG welders are capable of dressing back welds to create invisible joins between powder coated or sprayed sheets. Our brand new MIG welding bays feature duel pulse technology. This allows for high temperature welding without heat distortion of the sheet. In addition to this our capacitor discharge stud welding equipment allows for invisible fixings to be quickly applied to flat sheet rainscreen cladding. 2014 has seen the installation of a 4m x 2m water jet cutting machine capable accuracy +/-0.1mm on aluminium, steel, acrylic or Marley Eternit fibre cement board up to 60mm thick. Drawing capability includes full 3D CAD modelling that interfaces directly with out fabrication plant. Metal Finishes

NES Architectural offer standard finishes in powder coated, wet sprayed, brushed, mirror polished or anodised.

Add unique effects with Punched, Embossed, Water jet cut, Shot peened, Digitally printed and Illuminated cladding features.
Pre-painted sheet removes the time and expense of one production process. Other benefits include; large range of metallic effects, anodised effects, and factory applied paints with PvdF lacquer hold UV stable lifetimes of up to 25 years.

Pre-anodised sheet is another new innovation. Extensive in house development allows NES Architectural to form the cladding panels without discolouration of the anodising from welding or fracturing the anodised layer when folding/rolling. Beyond the cost savings the critically, accuracy of the anodising colour is consistent.

The more information that can be provided, the faster, more accurate and definitive we can be with our pricing.
Ideally, a full drop box including CAD, .pdf, architectural visualisations and NBS Specifications will be provided.
Typically we like to offer a range of materials, fixing systems and finishes.

These should be broken down into:
• Survey
• Design (drawing up, workshop drawings and structural calculations)
• Manufacture
• Installation.

For jobs under 100 square meters we would generally offer a supply only price. This is due to the project overheads of RAMS, project managers, legal contractual’s, credit insurance, design detailing, site liability insurance etc. We have a list of accredited installation contractors through the UK that we can make available in these instances.
